Conversions of existing Training Rigs

Many fire brigades and training centres often use outdated fire training rigs fuelled with diesel, oil or kerosene, sometimes also with wood. Such training scenarios require a lot of work and time to set up, clean up and dispose of ashes and waste, making their operation uneconomical in the long run. Once a training scenario (fire) has been put into operation it cannot be easily aborted or interrupted – which is a considerable safety hazard – and training sessions cannot be repeated in quick recurrence. Furthermore, today’s environmental protection legislation often does not even allow further operation of such training rigs.
